Our Process
We begin with a free loft survey to check existing insulation depth, condition, and any issues such as damp, pest damage, or blocked eaves ventilation that need addressing first. We then clear a safe working path, lay or top up insulation to the recommended depth between and over the joists, and insulate the loft hatch. Where boarding is needed for storage, we can raise the joist height or use low-profile insulation to preserve usable loft space.
Specifications
We install mineral wool or equivalent insulation to a total depth of 270mm, in line with current Building Regulations and energy efficiency scheme requirements. Eaves ventilation is maintained throughout to prevent condensation build-up in the roof space, and loft hatches are insulated and draught-proofed as part of the installation.
